How large is the target compared with the reference?

Match the real-world measurement, not the drawing.

Two labeled objects appear on a shared baseline. Adjust the target object until its displayed size matches its real-world scale relative to the reference.

The fixed reference is on the left and the resizable target is on the right. Use the scale control or arrow keys, then lock in your estimate.

The daily puzzle is shared by everyone. Practice mode keeps going, with fresh comparisons from the category you choose.

A useful kind of wrong

Numbers fade. Comparisons stick.

Most of us do not carry exact measurements around in memory. We remember relationships: a blue whale feels like several buses, the Moon feels like a smaller Earth, and one tower feels roughly half of another. Size It Up turns those fuzzy anchors into something visible.

The score uses proportional error, so guessing twice too large is treated like guessing half too small. That makes a centimetre-scale round and a planet-scale round fair to compare.

  1. 01

    Read the axis

Each round compares one stated measurement: height, length, diameter, or span.

  2. 02

    Set the proportion

Drag the target, move the scale control, or use the arrow keys until the relationship feels right.

  3. 03

    Keep the anchor

Lock the estimate to reveal the true outline, score, dimensions, and one memorable fact.

Common questions

Before you size it up.

Is Size It Up free to play?

Yes. The daily game and unlimited practice are free in a modern browser, with no account or download required.

Does everyone get the same daily rounds?

Yes. The five-round set is generated from the UTC date, so players around the world can compare the same challenge. A new set appears at 00:00 UTC.

What does the outline after a guess mean?

The filled target preserves your estimate. The dashed outline shows the true proportional size along the round’s named measurement axis.

Are the object measurements exact?

Natural objects vary, and some landmarks can be measured in several ways. Each round names the axis, uses a representative or published dimension, and links its reference on the sources page.

Is this the official Magnitudle game?

No. Size It Up Daily is an independent visual estimation game with its own code, challenge library, interface, scoring, and practice modes. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with Magnitudle.
